The sisters of Vimal Jyothi Region are on the lookout for the all-round growth and development of the people through their various missionary activities. They concentrate on social work, evangelization, faith formation, formal and informal education, women empowerment, village upliftment, various training and orientation programs by running schools, boarding, health centers. We are happy to see the progress and development in the different centers and nearby areas where we render our services. Even in the Lockdown period our sisters were vigilant to support spiritually, socially and educationally the people around our convents and institutions. Now we are 43 sisters and 07 formees in different stages of formation. Two of our sisters are working in Germany. In the year 2013 we started a house in Surat as per the request of Bp.Gregory Karotemprel CMI who was in charge of Pravasi Syro Malabar Christians. Our sisters were working with the MCBS Fathers, staying in a rendered house. The people of the parish of Surat benefitted much by the service of our sisters. Meanwhile due to certain unpleasant situations we were compelled to close the service there. It was a long cherished dream of the Vimal Jyoti Region to have a residential house in Kerala. It was fulfilled when the Provincial Superior Sr.Benno and her councilors bought a house and land at Kavalangadu near Kothamangalam in 2006. But later because of some practical difficulties the province has taken over it and given the convent at Vazhapilly, Muvattupuzha for three years [2019-2022] as our residence.
